Comox Valley's premier Health and Recreation Guide is published quarterly with an approximate readership of approximately 40,000 and mail distribution to 25,000 homes!! Editorial features are written by local contributors from many health and recreation related field including fitness, nutrition, financial health, local outdoor activities and much much more. Owner, editor and publisher Allan Gear has been producing magazines in the Comox Valley for nine years. 
Publisher's Note - Winter 2011
Happy winter season to all. As we head to a new year I would like to “thank you” for all the support and generous feedback that I have received from my faithful readers, advertisers and writers. Winter is upon us, bringing with it darkness, rain, wind and snow to our beautiful Valley, I am reminded that there are many other delights that we can enjoy. I know many people like myself are negatively impacted by the long dark nights of winter. Winter can be a time for reflection, a time to recharge our minds and our bodies. I hope to spend much more time at the gym. All the articles in this issue are here for your enjoyment and to help you overcome the winter blues. Take a moment and see what this Valley has to offer: there are so many joys in our own backyard and ways to make the winter blues better. Take time for yourself, rejuvenate and enjoy the season.
